MUI NE IN PHOTOS

Mui Ne is a town 4 to 5 hours away from Ho Chi Minh.  We hired a private car, driver, and guide from Ho Chi Minh that took us to this wonderful coastal town.
Its main road is lined with resorts, restaurants, souvenir shops, and other establishments.
We originally intended to stay at Sailing Club Mui Ne, but it was fully-booked.  So, we ended up staying at Tien Dat Beach Resort & Spa, which turned out to be a good move as it is a relatively good but cheap resort.
We got the Beach Front Deluxe Room, right by the pool.  It has a spacious balcony with this view.
This is how the hotel looks like when viewed from the beach.  Our room is the one on the lower left corner of the photo.
This is what you'll see from the resort lobby.
Vintage scooters are lined up just outside the resort.
The resort at night.
Bars and restaurants are just a few steps away.
Our guide recommended this restaurant.  According to him, this is one of the best seafood restaurants in the area.
Early morning the next day, we visited Mui Ne's fishing village.
We made friends with the locals.  They even gave each of us a gift even if we didn't buy anything from them.
We had a short stop at the Pink Hill to take photos.
We then went to the Red Sand Dunes where tons of locals flocked as if we're celebrities HAHA
The kids invited us to try sand sledding down the dunes, and of course we agreed!
The place is so amazing that we spent most of our time taking photos.
Our guide brought us after to the Fairy Stream.  The water appears golden brown because of the color of the sand.
Had a sumptuous meal at a seafood restaurant with this magnificent view before heading back to Ho Chi Minh.

  1. great photos... made me wish to visit again vietnam.

you missed some picturesque spots just right before you arrived at muine..

there's an old structures there that looks like places of worship that resembles temples that of thailand.. :-)

on the way is also the mountain with the biggest in asia (if not in the world?) statue of the sleeping buddhist accessible via cable car. :-)

  2. Thank you Donito! We were actually able to visit those temples in Phan Thiet, the city before Mui Ne. We'll make a separate blog entry for that soon! Too bad we missed that statue you're talking about. Sounds interesting! We also hope to see Vietnam again =)

  3. Gorgeous pictures! :D
I was wondering, how long did you stay in Mui Ne? and how did you hire the private car, driver and guide?

  4. Thanks so much!! :)
We only stayed for one night in Mui Ne although we think 2 nights would’ve been better. As for our guide, his name is Jason Superstar (Haha! No kidding) and we found out about him through Trip Advisor. This funny guy is highly recommended! Jason will also take care of the car and driver so you don’t have to worry about that. Just send him an E-mail at jasonrockstarguide@yahoo.com.

  5. hi! you got really nice pictures! =)
can i just ask...were all your tours / hotel / transpo and all were a package from jason superstar?
will be in HCMC last week of August. been trying to book in sinhtourist. but then i saw this post and some forums...and would like to consider this. :)
how was the negotiation for the tour? should there be a deposit and all? or just through email reservations?
    hope to hear from you!
    thank you!

  6. Hi Irene! Thanks for taking time to read :) Jason Superstar's packages include tours and transpo only. Everything was thru email, and yes he asked for a deposit. We told him we're not comfortable with the idea because what if he doesn't show up? Hahaha! He completely understood so what he asked was just a picture of us haha and he e-mailed us his picture too! :) So that worked solely on 'trust'.

He helped us also with our accommodation. Aside from giving us a list of nice and reputable hotels, he took the liberty to make the reservations as well. We paid during check-out.

We strongly suggest that you get someone like Jason to tour you around. It's so much more convenient and you'll definitely make the most of your time there.

    Enjoy your HCMC vacation! :)
